They announced the addition of the planet Ilum, bringing the total number of announced planets for ToR to 16. An icy planet rich in saber crystals, more info and pictures in the link.

Already they have surpassed SWG’s total of 12 planets after 3 expansions, and ToR is still probably 6 months till launch. This leads me to believe they won’t be quite as big as most of the planets in SWG are or at least not as wide open. More like how Mustafar or Kashyyyk where it’s not all accessible terrain but there are a lot of paths and clearings. Would it be such a bad ting for it to be like this, after all who needs all that space if there isn’t going to be real housing like SWG, as presumably our personal ships will serve that function.

Maybe so, it does seem like somewhat of a loss, even if we will be able to decorate our ships like houses. But then again, no citys meen less politics in the game, so thats got to be a good thing right?

yea that could work for us we wouldn't have to worry about the city maintenance or having enough people to open one up . But I guess we have to look at the trade off of the game unless there will be a exp pack down the road.

The housing was really neat for a little bit, but then it got old. Every planet looks the exact same from one corner to the other as far as housing is concerned. They once again dropped the ball of something that could have been neat. There are just not enough options so everyone ends up looking the same. Then when they did add things they cut corners really bad, or they put them on the TCG.

This planet, Ilum, is interesting. TOR has been extremely creative in making the planets all look very unique.

This new planet made me think of Thule, from the Star Wars:The Clone Wars console game. I don't know why, but the bluey ground and the weapons, etc. makes it all seem like a rip off....
